First instance of a digital computer designed specifically to play a game, first game with book-manual.
1) NIMROD computer Using a panel of lights for it's display, was designed exclusively to play the game of Nim ( Simple game, where you start with a number of piles of tokens — traditionally matches. Each player in turn takes one or more tokens from any one pile, and the game continues until the last token is taken from the last remaining pile).
2) Due to it's historical importance, famous German politicians were present including Konrad Adenauer, the Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) and Ludwig Erhard, the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs.
3) Alan Turing beat this game.
4) Released 4 may 1951.
